【概要】 Freshwater mussel is a group recognized as on the brink of extinction all over the world. A kind of freshwater mussel species found in Ishikari floodplain in Hokkaido was regarded as an invasive species in the past but recently shown might be a native species of Japan. Environmental DNA could be an effective method to measure the abundance of this species in different types of lakes and monitor the different processes of its life stages which means a lot to its protective.
